What languages the clinics work in
Taken from the language versions each clinic publishes its own website in. It is the clearest signal of who a clinic expects to treat.
What clinics here publish as prices
| Currency | Clinics publishing | Range of starting prices | Median |
|---|---|---|---|
| EUR | 4 | €1,000–€1,800 | €1,500 |
Read from clinic websites, not converted and not estimated. A published price is a starting figure for the smallest case, not a quote.
Surgeons on a professional register
No surgeon with an address in Albania appears in the ISHRS public member register. Most surgeons anywhere are not members, so this says nothing about the standard of care here — but it does mean you will need to use the national medical regulator to check anyone. How to check credentials lists where those registers are.
Where the clinics are
Before you book in Albania
Confirm the operating surgeon by name and check them against the national medical regulator, not against the clinic's own website. Ask who makes the incisions and who places the grafts, and get the answer in writing.
Ask what happens if you have a complication after you fly home, who you contact, in what language and at what hours. Check whether your travel insurance covers elective surgery abroad; most policies do not.
