Folliculis is an information resource that compiles publicly available details about hair transplant clinics and surgeons. It is not a clinic, a medical practice, a broker, an agency or a booking service.

No medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice. The guides explain terminology and process so that you can ask better questions; they are not a substitute for consulting a qualified doctor, and they must not be used to decide on treatment. Whether a hair transplant is appropriate for you, and which technique, is a question for a surgeon who has examined you.

We do not vet clinics

Folliculis does not:

• inspect clinics or their facilities
• verify medical licences, except where a page explicitly states otherwise
• assess or guarantee the quality, safety or outcome of any treatment
• endorse, recommend or rank clinics by clinical merit

A listing is a record that a business exists and what public information we hold about it. It is not a recommendation, and its position in a list is not a judgement of quality.

Professional memberships

Where a listing states that a surgeon appears in a professional register, that is the entire claim. Membership of a body such as the ISHRS is a voluntary affiliation the surgeon applies and pays for. It is not a licence, not a qualification, and not an endorsement by that body or by Folliculis of the surgeon or the clinic. Many experienced surgeons are not members.

Accuracy and currency

Information is compiled from public sources and each listing shows the month it was last checked. Clinics move, change numbers, change ownership and close. Prices change, and a published price is a marketing figure rather than a quote. The clinic’s own website and its direct response to you are always more authoritative than this directory.

We make no warranty that any information here is complete, current or accurate.

What you should confirm yourself

Before paying a deposit or booking treatment, confirm directly with the clinic:

• the name and licence number of the doctor who will operate
• who performs each part of the procedure, in writing
• whether the facility is licensed for surgery
• the total itemised price and what it excludes
• what happens if there is a complication after you go home
